The Indian Nurses Association of Illinois was established in 2002.  In April 2002, the thought of having a professional organization for Indian nurses in Illinois was brought up by few RNs. The birth of such an organization was eagerly anticipated and welcomed by many Indian nurses.  On May 10, 2002 the 1st meeting of INAI was held at the Crown Jewel Indian restaurant and elected the board of directors and committee members.  Today the association has grown with hundreds of members.
