Indian Nurses Association of Illinois-Nurses Week Awards Inviting Nominations for nursing awards in four categories and student scholarship awards which will be presented at the INAI Nurses week celebration on May 7th, 2023. To nominate please download the forms, fill and send them to Inaiusa@gmail.com. For nominations instructions and to see other categories which is not listed below:

Best Clinical Nurse

The nominee should be an outstanding nurse who has shown his/her nursing excellence in the following criteria:

  • Community Service (community involvement)
  • Professional Development (i.e. Doing advanced education and certifications)
  • Patient Care (i.e. Appreciation from a patient/Team)
  • Promoting the Image of Nursing (Involvement in any nursing role) 

Best Advanced Practice Nurse

​The nominee should be an outstanding APN who has shown his/her Advance Practice Nursing excellence in the following criteria:

  • Community Service (Community involvement)
  • Professional Development (Advanced education and certifications)
  • Practice (Outcome oriented practice, i.e. maintaining/improving the performance measures)
  • Promoting the Image of Nursing (Involvement in any advanced role)

Best Nurse Leader

​The nominee should be an outstanding Nurse Leader who showed excellence in the following criteria

  • Community Service
  • Professional Development (Education and Certifications)
  • Leadership Role Promoting

Outstanding Student Award

Indian Nurses Association of Illinois (INAI) will recognize three student nurses (LPN, Associate Degree, and BSN) who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and have made a significant contribution to their profession or to the community.

  • Student must be in the program full-time during the year of nomination
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and above
  • Significant contribution to the student’s chosen profession
  • Must not be currently working as a licensed nursing professional  

Nursing Scholarship

The INAI scholarship program is designed to reward academic success, promote the nursing profession and career advancement for the next generation nurses. This opportunity is open to undergraduate LPN/RN program students of Indian origin. It’s not expected that the student be a member to qualify, but it is highly recommended to obtain a student membership to use the benefits
